Friday morning I was supposed to work but I got a little drunker than I wanted to the night before so I just got my shift covered and slept in. Frank and I went to the Nats game that afternoon. Pit stop at McDonalds to get everything off the dollar menu EXCEPT the filet of fish. Over to 7-11 for some delicious Coors Light. And off to the parking lot next to the 7-11 to tailgate? Yeah, we’re cool like that. Ghetto, but cool. Good game except for the fact we left right before it got exciting. Of course.

Saturday I went out to Firehouse with Kenny, again. He left early and I ended the night at Shebeen, again. Still fun though.

Sunday morning was supposed to be brunch with Kels but since he had friends in town apparantly he didn’t have time. Sad face. So I had a guilty pleasure movie marathon instead. :)

Today my creepy roommate moved out! Nothing else has happened all day and I’m pretty bored but this is still great news and makes me extremely happy.

3 more days til Austin!

Wednesday I was supposed to have a meeting with Doc and the Potomac people about the summer clinic. That didn’t exactly happen as planned but Doc and I did hang out all day and discuss our options for everything. We decided today to scrap the clinic for this year and use this time to make plans for next year. Kinda sucks but I think it’ll be better this way, definitely a weight off my shoulders for now. Went to Firehouse last night to watch the game. Terrible. Painful to watch. Sigh. But then the boys came up for Mike Vitale’s bday so a good time was still had. Lots of karaoke too. Smirk. Then they all left me again to go to a house party. What’s with all the damn house parties? Whatevs…

Working at the bar tonight, then probably out to Open Mic night later.

Monday- Worked at Mason. Then went to the Fastest Bartender Comp. at Brion’s with Marm and Kenny. Why? Because Mike was competing. Yes, Mike from Firehouse. The slowest bartender ever. Lol. We had to go. Thankfully I ran into Brion who informed me he was a little surprised he wasn’t invited to the banquet considering he was donating all of the food. Yikes. Had to eat some serious crow on that one. Doc came up and we smoothed things over and then schmoozed a bit. All in all, good times.

Tuesday- Met up with Bailey in the morning to go to Costco to buy stuff for the banquet. Saw Emanon working there. Random. Worked at the Bird. Came home. Blah.

Wednesday- Banquet Day. Went to Mason of course. Worked all day with Shannon to get everything together. Setting up the hall was really fun actually. Got everything set just in time to get prettied up for the night. Everything went fairly smoothly, only a few minor bobbles here and there. I was very pleased and a bunch of people made a point to come and thank me for putting everything together. Even Kenny was impressed and that says a lot. Went to the Been afterwards and met up with Frank. However he was absolutely no fun and left after 1 drink. So we went to Firehouse. And got a little crazy. A lot crazy actually. Like sang karaoke crazy. And then heckled someone off the stage crazy (whatever, he had it coming…in other news, he is now trying to get a restraining order against me. lol, dude just stop coming to firehouse no one likes you there!) It was definitely a fun night…

Thursday- Nothing really happened during the day that I can remember. The night was supposed to be tame but of course it didn’t turn out that way…went up to Firehouse to meet up with Kenny, Vinny and Don. Hung out for a bit but then they decided to leave and go to a house party out near Vinny and Don’s house. I decided to stay and hang with Jeff and Jason. Then Jeff decided to get me as drunk as he was. OMDL. I think I only drank 1 real drink, the rest were shots and bombs. Back to back to back. Geez….we then took the party over to Aulds. Apparantly I have rockstar status there. We rolled past about 20 people in line and walked right in. No waiting. No cover. I love Aulds. Apparantly we went back to Firehouse after that and drank more? I dont know why we thought that was a good idea considering J town were already spilling drinks at the Been. Whatevs. I’m a rockstar.

Friday/Saturday- Went to Target before work to buy new jeans. Found a sweet dress for $10. It rang up for $18 though and I told them the sign said $10 and I was only going to pay $10. I got it for $10. Sweet. Then worked the lunch shift. Kinda sucked because it was BER. Corporate inspection shit. Like 5 extra managers in the building on top of the 5 we already have just observing you the entire day. Not exactly fun with a hangover. Definite naptime after work. Went out to Firehouse. Last call at Aulds with Ponch. Somehow still didnt get home til 3? Weird…then randomly Matt Black came over to chill. We talked and watched Waiting until 7 am. He went home and I tried to finally get some sleep. Got about 2 1/2 hours before Pig woke me up to be let out. Grr…helped Matt move a bunch of his stuff back home later that day and then watched the Caps game with him and his old roomies. Went to Firehouse for awhile to hang with Kenny. Frank met us up there and then him and I went to Aulds for last call. That turned into 4 am. Awesome. I fake numbered someone in Spanish. Also awesome.

Sunday- Tried to go brunching but everyone was hanging out with their mommas. Too bad mine lives too far away. Oh wells…did have some good phone talks though. :)

And Monday again- I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was nice but I was a little disappointed in myself for being so lazy. Watched a lot of tv, GO CAPS! Spent a lot of time on facebook and aim. And Youtube!! WINGMAN! Lolz….nighters.

Monday- Mason of course.  Doc and I went to the Fieldhouse to move all the colorguard stuff out. That was just tons of fun, let me tell you….btdubs, folding and moving a colorguard floor with 4 people is not so easy. Then we had to find a new home for everything somewhere in the Music Dept. Moved everything out of the storage closet to put the floor in and then moved everything back in. And got a table dropped on my toe during the process. Yeah I definitely earned my free lunch at Southside that day. My first Southside experience! Yesssss…..so good. I dont remember much else about Monday…

Tuesday-Worked at the bird in the morning. Rode home with Connor and we decided to go meet up with Marshall for dinner. That turned into an all night thing, awesome. We had Mexican for dinner, yum! Then moved to Glory Days to watch the Caps/Celtics games. Winning night for all. Then Connor and I left to go meet up with Ryan in Manassas, but that didn’t really work out so we came back to Ffx and met up with Kenny at Firehouse. That was fun. :)

Wednesday- I planned on sleeping in but no such luck. Woke up and realized I needed to go into Mason before going to RR to get some stuff done. Rode in with Marm and went to Southside for lunch (again.) Still awesome though. Got as much done as possible before heading to the bird with Frank. Finally got him to come in and eat for the first time ever. Work was pretty decent except for Doc texting me telling me we were changing the banquet location with less than a week to go. Great.

Thursday- Got my shift covered at work to go into Mason in the morning and do more banquet work. Lunch at Southside again! Hello, my name is Lauren, and I’m a Southside-aholic. Whatever, I’m not apologizing for it. Had to go into RR that night to cocktail at the bar for a few hours. Started out slow as usual so Lynsey and I texted everyone to come in luring all our friends with free beer. Before they got there we got slammed. Awesome. It was good times though and then Frank gave me a ride back to Firehouse on his way to work. Hung out with the usual Thursday night crew plus Zach and Brandon.

Friday- Worked at the bird in the morning.Did some errands before going to Mason to meet up with the Kappa Psi girls to go buy banquet stuff. Shannon was a no-show. Shocker. So we grabbed Doc and went on an adventure. Took a serious power nap and then went out for a girl’s night with Meghan, Bridgett and Kenny. There was a firefighter’s auction at the Hard Times in Manassas which sounded much better in theory than in reality. Firefighters in Manassas are not that hot because it’s still Manassas. Whatever, we still had a great time drinking and catching up.

Saturday- Slept in. Finally! Hung out with Don and Gary in the afternoon. Then we watched the Derby at Don’s. Crazy! Huge upset!! Then we rolled over to Kenny’s to watch the Celtics win game 7. Lots of fun to hang with everyone together for once. Kenny and I went to Aulds after the game for a bit and it was lots of fun. I think he might be starting to enjoy it too. At least once in awhile on the weekends when Firehouse seriously sucks.

Sunday- Today sucks so far. Rain. No brunch. No food at all in the house. Lots of laundry that needs to be done. Stupid concert at Mason that is taking up all of my friend’s time. And I already watched all the good stuff on the DVR. Boo.

Wednesday morning I got breakfast at McDonald’s with Gary and then headed into Mason to do some work. I didnt really do that much but had fun hanging out with everyone in the office. Frank dropped me off at Red Robin in time for the CDT meeting and then work 4-close.

Thursday I slept in finally because I switched my morning shift for a closing night shift. I really need to do that more often because I made really good money. The best part was I had Connor training with me and he took all my tables and I made all the money. Awesome. Went to Auld’s after work to grab dinner and a drink with Don. Then I hopped between Firehouse and Auld’s for the rest of the night so I could hang with different people I haven’t seen for a while. Good times…

Friday morning work was actually decently busy. Yay for nice weather! I definitely wanted to go drink on a patio somewhere for happy hour. The plan was to go out and drink early and get home at a decent hour to get some sleep since I had to get up so early on Saturday. Of course that is not what happened….sooo while I was waiting for Ryan and Connor to come scoop me for HH I went to Target and shopped a bit. Got some new clothes and a new book. Then we tried to go to Coastal..packed. Rio…standing room only. Not exactly what we had in mind so we went to Skidoos and had some drinks and apps and a brownie sundae? Random. After that Ryan wanted to go meet up with his roomie and friends so they dragged me along…to Reston. For bar hopping. Wtf? Actually fun though, but expensive. Good thing I made Ryan pay for it. Ha. On the way back to ffx to go home I talked to Matt Black and decided to meet up with him at Auld’s instead of going home. Of course. I mean, why not? Really good to catch up with him though, and his fun roommates. And he can sorta walk a little now! So, didn’t home til 1:45…had to get up at 7 am. Gross. Still worth it though. :)

Saturday morning of course came way to early…rode in with Chris to the meeting. The only good part about it was they got us sausage biscuits from MickeyD’s for breakfast. The meeting lasted 2 effing hours. About nothing. I hate corporate restaurants. Ridiculous. I had planned on staying at work for a while and doing some GEMs but I was in desperate need of sleep so I just went home and crashed. Until 4 pm. I am a professional napper. DBJ. Got up after that, went outside and read for a bit. Then Kenny picked me up for a classic Firehouse Saturday night. Good drunken times. It was actually kind of dead in there for a Sat. but Eric and Christy came by. And Fatty. Oh! And we both signed up for Twitter that night so we just tweeted each other at the bar. Which sounds extremely lame but is actually hilarious good times. Came home pretty late but made some delicious mac and cheese before passing out.

For some reason I woke up at 9 am today? Weird. I’m just catching  up on tv and facebook stalking while waiting for people to wake up so we can go brunching!

Thursday morning, woke up early and got Mickey D’s breakfast with Gary before heading to Mason for a while. Lunch at Bdubs with Marm and Vincendo. Dinner with Doc, Gary & Amanda at La Pat in the JC. La Gross. Seriously JC, GYST! Whatever, Firehouse after that. Ryan didn’t come out but it was still a really good time! Don came by after class, I played a terrible game of bowling with Franco and the boys, went to Auld’s for a bit with Curtis to pick on Frank, and had a good talk with Don after the ride home.

Unfortunately I kept him out too late and he also had to get up wicked early. So early that Vinny thought he never came home and upon waking started a full scale search for him. Kinda funny in retrospect but we were all pretty worried there for awhile. Anyways, Friday morning went to work. Lame. Very slow. Only made like 40 some dollars. Weak sauce. But the day was salvaged b/c I went to the DC United game with Don and Gary. The most important part of that was the free tailgating passes we had for before the game. Although of course getting there was quite an adventure. First Gary was running late picking us all up, then we had to stop and get antifreeze for his car so we wouldn’t break down on the side of the road. Then the metro ride itself is a full hour. But whatever, we made it, free beer, free hotdogs, pretty fun band, and a free photo booth. Awesome. The game was boring. A tie, really? What is that crap. Went to firehouse after for a while. I hate the band that was playing that night so I walked over to Hard Times with Ernie and met up with pretty much every other Firehouse regular that was avoiding the place that night. Ernie, Brad Dueno, Mark Dikun and I hit up some late night Denny’s before heading home. Pancake Puppies are the jam. Just FYI.

Saturday was the first day I slept in all week. Too bad when I finally did wake up my roommate informed me we had a voicemail from the landlord telling us he was letting his friend live in the empty room in our house for a few weeks. And he was bringing him over that day. Fan-fucking-tastic. So Kelby and I sprang into action, I cleaned and he mowed the grass. Sucky way to start the day, but at least the house looks nice. The guy seems nice enough anyways, I think he’ll probably keep to himself mostly so should be ok. Later that day, Gary picked me up to go hang out at Don’s. Luckily we didn’t die when a part of his car decided to fall off while we were driving. Had to take it to the shop and have his dad drop us off at Don’s. Good times there, yummy pizza (even though the delivery guy was not the brightest). I practiced being an S.T.I. Smirk. Had to rush to Firehouse after that b/c Mikey was in town!! Ahh!! Sooo much fun! We actually went up to Shebeens near the end of the night and Kenny had fun! Yay! Maybe he’ll come up there with me sometimes now. We ran into Seung there, random, totally forgot she was 21 now. Def took a pic of her on Frank’s camera and am happy to see it was put to good use. :) Crashed at Kenny’s that night with everyone. Btdubs, I make some awesome late night food from 7-11 at 4 am.

Sunday morning, after only a few hours sleep, we trekked it on up to Shebeen for brunch. It was actually really good! Might be on the brunch rotation now…we’ll see. The bartender was a bit too energetic for brunch though,  I like to relax and enjoy my hangover on Sunday mornings…

After that, we metroed into DC for the day to go to the Smithsonian. Can you believe it? Kenny and I left Fairfax! It was really fun though, the modern art floor is amazing! I can’t even describe how cool this one room was. The lighting changed every 45 seconds or so and it was like you were looking at a completely different painting. So cool. We tried to go eat at Spike’s restaurant from Top Chef but of course it was closed on Sundays. Perfect. We walked down the street and found a place that looked cute called Hawk n’ Dove. Too bad it sucked. Sigh. Overcooked Prime Rib is just not good. Headed back to the fax and had serious naptime at Kenny’s. (Mikey and I are getting really good at sleeping together on that little couch lol.) We were supposed to go out to Bridges but we all kind of decided to stay in, order pizza, and watch SNL. The best of Amy Poehler. Classic. “RICK RICK RICK!!!”  ”Seriously, are you serious?!” Hah, good times.

Today I woke up early and went into Mason with Doc. Well, we stopped at Brion’s and had lunch. Yums. Got the rest of the invites sent out by email today, thank god. Sooo tired of dealing with that mess. Then Mikey, Kenny and I went to…wait for it….RED LOBSTER!!! I fucking love that place. And no one will ever go with me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not cheap, so not an everyday place but still, SOOO GOOD! I’ve been talking about cheddar biscuits for probably about 6 months now. And they have my favorite caesar salad out of anywhere. So we feasted. It was delicious. Can you say, creamy langostino lobster mashed potatoes? Of course, immediately following dinner, we all went into a post-crab leg food coma. For 3 hours. Seriously.

Now, finally home after 3 days, catching up on the DVR. Probably gonna go heat up some cheddar biscuits for a late night snack. :)

Today I came to Mason to get the bulk of the invitations done. Lots of busy work, not a lot of fun. Oh wells. Had lunch in the JC with Gary and Frank. Well sort of Frank, apparantly he’s too broke to eat these days. That sucks. Don’t worry, you didn’t miss much. Sub Connection = sub par subs. Looks like tomorrow will be much like today as far as busy work goes. Yippee.

Tonight I might hang out with Ryan. Yay! I haven’t seen him in far too long. I hope he can get a ride out to ffx so we can chill for a while. I don’t want to stay out late tonight though, I need to sleep. AND the Bravo A-List Awards are on tonight! Must watch. :)

Today was actually ok, despite my earlier nonsensical rant. Went to Mason in the morning and before I really started working I ran into Vinny. Decided to go to lunch with him and Marshall at Firehouse. And the best part was Justin was working! Yay! And even better still, the tea machine was going haywire and just running water forever. Like hours. He had to keep switching between 2 pitchers and continuously dump them out. Hilarious. Serious lunchtime entertainment watching someone try to work in between dumping pitchers out every 2 minutes.

Went back to Mason after that and got some serious work done on the banquet. All by myself too since Doc was preoccupied. (See previous entry.)

Big news of the night: I finally met my stalker face to face! It’s still funny but not as cool anymore. But at least I have a new friend. :) He picked me up from Mason and we went over to Don & Vinny’s apt. Good times, just watched some tv and ate some pizza (thanks Vinny!!) and I watched my first ever episode of 24! It was pretty good too even though I have clearly missed out on a lot so far…stupid hot guys always turn out to be bad :(

Now I’m just catching up on my silly girly Monday night shows…smirk. Then bedtime, I think I might actually have to work tomorrow morning! Shock!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Don and I have made up. Duh. But he better watch that lip…get some sleep once in a while cranky! Loves.

Apparantly some chick at Mason who has been in Doc’s office crying about life for that long. Lame.

I am ranting without making sense b/c I am still stuck at Mason! Frank check the time, it is now 6:03. Still here. Grr….now John Kilkenny is in there!

And I do love John  but seriously with that yapper! Shut it! I want to go home! And eat! Too bad I don’t have any food at home, but anywhere is better than here at this point.

I have also not had the greatest of company today in the office…smirk. Apparantly Don is mad at me. What? Seriously? Not cool. It’s not my fault you can’t update your blog, don’t get mad at me about it. But one of his favorite people visited for awhile…joy. Note sarcasm please. Thank you.

Also, update I’m not the only one with a stalker anymore. But I still think mine is the best. He comments on my facebook statuses before I even hit the Share button,  that’s pretty awesome.

Ok, I’m bored with this now too….6:11.

Went out to Firehouse after that and met up with Kelse and J. Frank came by for a bit after work, I’ll make him a Firehouse lover one of these days…then everyone left us. :( Very disappointing, until Eric showed up. Yay! Hadn’t seen him in about a month so it was really nice to catch up with him. And he brought his new almost girlfriend and she’s soo cute and nice! And I never like girls! So looking forward to hanging out with them more often.

So today is Easter. Unfortunately for me that doesn’t really mean anything special this year. I wasn’t raised religiously so that takes church off the list. All of my family lives far away so no family meals today. Sadly, 24 is apparantly too old for easter baskets. Either that or my mom is seriously slacking this year. She’s been a little sick, so I’ll give her a break I guess. And the real kicker, no good brunch places in Fairfax. Not any worth the prices they charge. Richmond really has the market on that one. It’s a shame too, I’ll do almost anything for a good brunch. ;)

So, sadly, my day has been spent much like yesterday. Watching stupid tv marathons and movies (anyone ever see Made of Honor? haha…at least Patrick Dempsey is uber hot). I made some yummy spaghetti and sweet tea though, I guess that counts as being productive?

Oh well, when in doubt, blog it out. :-/
